The first few days at work can be difficult, as it always involves adjusting to a new environment and learning the ropes. That said, Phitopolis engaged us graduates with many activities to start off our journey with lots of fun and excitement. We look back to how we spent our Grad Week.
We kicked off our first day at a local sports bar, Skinny Mike’s, where we introduced ourselves and got to participate in plenty of games among ourselves and with other employees who joined us for the day. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, collaborate, and build meaningful connections with our fellow graduates and the rest of the team.
After the fun-filled and welcoming first day, we took some time to relax and take a little bit of stroll around the busy streets of BGC to feel comfortable and familiar with where we’re working. From the flashy lights of High Street’s 3D billboard to the eye soothing green spaces all around BGC, and even the famous Mind Museum, we explored them all!
With all of Phitopolis’ milestones and blessings, they do not forget to give back to the community. Us graduates were lucky enough to be part of their CSR activity and be a blessing to others as well. We engaged in an eye-opening and rewarding Pre-Kinder teaching demo and school supplies donation at GK Sibol Integrated Pre-School, Taguig which taught us the values that drive the company, and how challenging yet incredibly fun and fulfilling, it is to teach and manage kids – and we wouldn’t have learned it any other way!
As part of company tradition, us grads also had the opportunity to participate in the Datathon. The experience was mind blowing. We experienced firsthand how the company explores, transforms, and processes vast amounts of data to generate valuable insights that can aid in real life decision making.
We were also right in time to join the company for their 5th Anniversary. The whole of Phitopolis celebrated in the F1 Hotel, where we joined everyone for the Walk-On Song Parade, the company quiz, the raffles, the performance from the previous grad batch, and the video presentation that took us on a trip down memory lane.
