What happens when you take a group of professionals fresh out of a monthly spotlight meeting and arm them with virtual boomerangs? Pure, glorious chaos, that’s what.
Last January 29, the Phitopolis common area transformed into a battleground as six teams threw down in an epic Boomerang Fu tournament. The mission: dash, slash, and throw your way to victory while simultaneously testing your collaboration skills and reflexes (and maybe your friendships, too).
Round robin style, teams went head-to-head in frantic matches where strategy lasted about five seconds before devolving into a mad scramble for power-ups. There’s nothing quite like watching colleagues who normally share coffee runs now competing to grill, chill, and spill each other across the screen.
The event turned out to be exactly what we needed–a chance to decompress, connect, and remember that sometimes the best team building involves a little friendly competition and a lot of flying boomerangs. Who knew destressing could be so delightfully destructive?
