Here at Phitopolis, we are committed to providing 24/7 operations support to ensure business continuity. This is our primary responsibility as members of the DevOps team. But that doesn’t stop us from having fun and bonding with each other.
Last March 2025, the DevOps team had our funtopolis at a private resort in Antipolo. It was a 22-hour outing event to ensure that we covered all the hours every one of us is available.
During the outing, some of our members had fun drinking and chatting the night away. Talking about work and life, making jokes, and just enjoying both the company as well as the stories and laughs being shared.
Others were busy singing their hearts out on our makeshift karaoke, exercising their vocal cords, and putting their singing talent to use. That day, a lot of us were having a concert, hyping up the atmosphere.
Also, we were there trying out our good luck by playing cards. We had a lot of fun learning and trying out different card games.
Of course, we didn’t forget to swim in the pool as well. Perfect for cooling off the summer heat.
All those while keeping watch to ensure that business needs are being met and operations support is available at all times.
Finally, no outing is complete without the company of good food. There were lots of those during dinner, both ordered and homemade, for everyone to eat their fill and enjoy delicious meals. Come breakfast, there are reliable members equipped with their cooking skills to ensure that everyone is well fed.
Overall, this outing was a chance for us to just kick back, relax, and enjoy, all the while making sure operations are smooth and issues are addressed promptly. It was really fun and a moment to remember, even the cat was enjoying herself.
