Running Through BGC
After office hours at 4:30 PM, a few colleagues managed to run together around BGC—something we had been planning since our company’s Wellness Week but couldn’t push through due to the constant rain.
This became our first proper run as a group, and the timing felt perfect. The late afternoon light reflected off the buildings as the city slowly transitioned from the workday into the evening.
We started at an easy pace, casually chatting about work, fitness goals, and how long it had been since some of us last ran. But as the kilometers passed, the conversation gradually faded into the steady rhythm of footsteps on the pavement.
BGC turned out to be an ideal place for it—wide sidewalks, a lively yet manageable atmosphere, and fellow runners enjoying the cooler post-work weather.
What began as a simple plan turned into a solid workout. Before we knew it, we had completed a full 7 km loop.
Finishing the run together felt rewarding—not just because of the distance, but because it marked the beginning of what could become a regular after-office running routine for our team.

More Than Just a Break from Routine
I didn’t expect Wellness Week to feel this… refreshing.
At first, it sounded like a simple break from routine—just a few activities here and there. But as the days went by, it became something I genuinely looked forward to.
It wasn’t just about stepping away from work. It was about reconnecting—with myself and with the people around me.
Small Habits, Big Impact
Most mornings, I found myself stopping by the “Pass the Positive” board.
At first, I wasn’t sure what to write. But after reading messages like “I can do it” and “Fighting”, it became easier. I wrote one note, then another.
It slowly turned into a habit. Before diving into my tasks, I would pause and read a few messages. Somehow, that small moment shifted my mindset for the rest of the day.

Wellness in Every Sip
In between meetings, I would grab a cup of cucumber and lemon-infused water from the “Wellness in Every Sip” station.
It seemed like a small gesture, but it served as a reminder to slow down—to breathe, hydrate, and reset.
Paired with 🍌 Pinoy Wellness Bites like saging saba, eggs, and fresh lumpia, it felt like a gentle nudge toward making more mindful choices throughout the day.

Learning Beyond Work
Representatives from BPI. BDO, FWD shared valuable insights on saving, financial planning, and insurance.
Topics like these can sometimes feel overwhelming, but this time, they felt practical and relatable.
It wasn’t about pressure—it was about awareness. And for the first time, I found myself thinking that this is something I should truly start paying attention to.

Creativity and Calm
One afternoon, I picked up a canvas and some painting materials.
There was no pressure and no expectations—just colors, patterns, and time to focus on something outside of work.
Some chose diamond painting, while others explored canvas art. Everyone was quietly immersed in their own creative space.
It was calming in a way I didn’t expect. For a moment, everything slowed down.

Time to Pause
On the fourth day of Wellness Week, I signed up for a massage session.
It was one of the rare moments where I allowed myself to fully pause in the middle of a workday—no screens, no notifications, just rest.
I didn’t realize how much tension I had been carrying until I finally let it go.
Ending on a Balanced Note
The yoga sessions felt like the perfect way to close the week.
Stretching, breathing, and simply being still helped clear my mind after several busy days.
It wasn’t about perfect poses or flexibility—it was about showing up and giving myself that time.

A Week Worth Keeping
Wellness Week turned out to be more than just a series of activities.
It became a reminder that even small pauses throughout the day can make a meaningful difference. Whether it’s a short run, a quiet moment, or a simple habit, these experiences helped us reset, recharge, and reconnect.
And maybe, just maybe, it’s something we can carry forward—beyond just one week.
